Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any condition, warranty, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. Operating Entity & Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a binding contract between NET-ZERO AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (ABN 79 654 797 743), trading under the registered brand name MOTORVA (“MOTORVA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), and the vehicle owner or authorized client representative (“Client”, “you”, or “your”).
By submitting an inquiry, requesting an appointment, approving a quotation, or delivering a vehicle to our workshop at Unit 1, 5 Robbins Circuit, Williamstown North VIC 3016, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
2. Scope of Automotive Services
MOTORVA provides high-end automotive surface care and protection solutions, including:
- Multi-Stage Machine Paint Correction: Progressive rotary and dual-action machine compounding and jewel-polishing designed to diminish swirl marks, oxidation, wash marring, and surface hazing.
- Ceramic Coating Application: Professional-grade nano-ceramic chemical coatings applied to prepared exterior paintwork, glass, brake calipers, and wheels to provide hydrophobic defense and gloss enhancement.
- Exterior Detailing & Decontamination: Multi-stage pH-neutral contact cleansing, iron fallout chemical dissolution, mechanical clay bar purification, and protective sealant application.
- Interior Cabin Detailing: Meticulous steam purification, deep carpet extraction, matte leather cleansing and conditioning, and non-greasy UV surface defense.
- Paint Protection Film (PPF): Computer-cut or bulk-fit optical polyurethane film applied to high-impact strike zones for mechanical stone-chip resistance.
3. Preliminary Enquiries vs Confirmed Bookings
Any form submission through motorva.com.au (including our online booking consultation wizard at /book and quick inquiry forms) represents a preliminary consultation request.
An online inquiry does not constitute a guaranteed appointment, nor does it automatically reserve workshop bay capacity. A booking is formally confirmed only when:
- Our workshop team reviews vehicle specifications and bay availability;
- A formal service scope and quotation are mutually agreed upon; and
- Any requested booking confirmation or vehicle drop-off schedule is acknowledged in writing by MOTORVA.
4. On-Site Inspection & Diagnostic Clear Coat Audit
Before commencing any paint correction or coating treatment, every vehicle undergoes a mandatory in-person diagnostic inspection under dedicated high-CRI inspection lighting at our Williamstown North workshop.
We measure paint thickness across all metal panels using calibrated electronic ultrasonic/electromagnetic gauges to establish remaining clear coat depth (in microns). If paint depth readings indicate dangerously thin or compromised clear coat, or if previous heavy rotary compounding has created strike-through hazards, we reserve the right to modify the proposed correction stage to preserve paint integrity.
5. Quotations, Estimates & Variations
Preliminary estimates provided over the telephone, via email, or generated through our website are indicative only and based on average vehicle condition for the specified make and model category.
A binding quotation is issued only after physical vehicle inspection. Should our technicians encounter undisclosed conditions during decontamination or preparation (including but not limited to severe paint etching from bird droppings, overspray, delaminating resprays, heavy iron fallout, excessive pet hair, mold, or bodily fluid contamination), we will pause work and notify you of any required scope variation or additional fees prior to proceeding.
6. Paint Correction Safety-First Philosophy & Limits
Clear Coat Preservation Priority
Modern automotive factory clear coat is remarkably thin — typically between 30 to 50 microns (approximately the thickness of a Post-it note). Aggressive polishing that strips excessive clear coat to eliminate every last deep scratch leaves the vehicle vulnerable to premature clear coat failure, UV delamination, and permanent damage.
MOTORVA prioritizes the long-term structural health of your paintwork above cosmetic perfection. We will diminish defects to the highest level safely possible. Scratches that catch your fingernail, severe acid etching beneath the clear coat, stone chips down to primer, and deep gouges cannot and will not be removed through machine polishing alone without compromising the lacquer.
7. Ceramic Coatings: Realistic Performance & Maintenance
Ceramic coatings provide outstanding chemical resistance, UV defense, hydrophobic self-cleaning properties, and intense gloss. However, MOTORVA does not make false or exaggerated claims regarding coating capabilities:
- Not Scratch-Proof: Ceramic coatings are not bulletproof or scratch-proof. Improper wash techniques (such as automatic brush car washes, dirty sponges, or dry wiping) can and will induce swirl marks.
- Not Rock-Chip Armor: Ceramic coatings do not absorb physical kinetic impact from stones, gravel, or road debris. Physical impact protection requires Paint Protection Film (PPF).
- Curing Protocol: Coatings require a strict 7 to 14 day initial curing window post-application. The vehicle must not be washed with detergents or exposed to abrasive chemicals during this period.
- Maintenance Obligation: To maintain hydrophobic performance, the owner must adhere to recommended two-bucket wash methods using pH-neutral automotive shampoo.
8. Paint Protection Film (PPF) Scope & Installation
Paint Protection Film installations utilize precision digital templates or custom bulk application. While we strive for seamless coverage:
- Due to complex curvature and vehicle body lines, minor relief cuts, minute seams, and edge margins (typically 1–3mm on certain non-wrapped edges) may be structurally necessary to prevent film lifting.
- PPF requires clean, factory-sound paint. MOTORVA is not liable for paint delamination or lifting during installation or future removal on panels that have received aftermarket, non-factory resprays or substandard bodywork.
9. Exterior & Interior Detailing Protocols
Our detailing protocols are designed to clean, purify, and protect without causing harm to delicate materials:
- Interior Cabin Sanitization: While we employ professional steam and hot-water extraction, certain pre-existing stains (such as long-set chemical dyes, ink, bleached leather, or burnt carpet fibers) may have permanently altered the substrate and cannot be restored.
- Biological Hazards: Vehicles presenting severe mold infestations, biohazards, or pest contamination must be disclosed in advance. MOTORVA reserves the right to decline or apply specialized safety decontamination surcharges.
10. Client Responsibilities & Valuables Removal
Before delivering your vehicle to MOTORVA, you agree to:
- Remove all personal valuables: Cash, jewelry, electronics, sunglasses, transponders, garage remotes, and child safety seats must be removed from the cabin and boot. MOTORVA accepts no liability for loss of loose personal effects.
- Disclose prior paintwork: Inform our team of all aftermarket paintwork, smart repairs, ceramic coatings, or known mechanical quirks (e.g. sensitive alarm triggers, battery drain issues).
- Provide operational fuel & battery: Ensure adequate fuel/charge (minimum 25%) to allow engine idling during paint evaluation, bay movement, and climate controls.
11. Workshop Custody, Maneuvering & Road Testing
While your vehicle is in our workshop, it is housed in our secure, monitored premises at Williamstown North.
You authorize MOTORVA personnel to operate and maneuver the vehicle within our workshop and apron for the purposes of washing, decontamination, inspection, and bay repositioning. MOTORVA technicians will not road-test or drive your vehicle on public roads unless strictly necessary for service evaluation and explicitly agreed with you in writing.
12. Booking Rescheduling & Cancellations
Because we reserve dedicated multi-day bays and technician hours exclusively for your vehicle, late cancellations prevent other clients from scheduling service.
- Notice Window: We request at least 48 hours advance notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your confirmed booking.
- Fair & Reasonable Policy: We understand unforeseen emergencies happen. In the event of sudden vehicle breakdown or personal emergency, we will work with you in good faith to transfer your booking to the next available workshop bay without punitive forfeiture.
13. Completion Timelines & Vehicle Collection
We will provide an estimated completion time upon vehicle intake. Quality craftsmanship cannot be rushed, and paint correction or coating curing times may occasionally require minor extension to achieve our exacting standards. We will keep you updated on progress.
Upon receiving notification that your vehicle is ready, you agree to collect the vehicle within 24 hours unless a delayed collection arrangement has been approved in advance. Vehicles uncollected after 48 hours without prior arrangement may incur a secure storage fee of $50 per calendar day.
14. Payment Terms & Invoicing
All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Full payment is due upon service completion prior to vehicle release. Accepted payment methods include major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard), Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), or bank transfer. Vehicles will not be released until cleared payment is confirmed in our account. MOTORVA issues compliant Australian tax invoices for all completed work.
15. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees
Our services come with non-excludable guarantees under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to:
- Services provided with due care and skill;
- Services fit for any specified purpose made known to us; and
- Services supplied within a reasonable time.
For a major failure with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law and subject to your statutory ACL guarantees:
- MOTORVA is not liable for pre-existing vehicle damage, mechanical wear, electrical failures, loose badges, aged or brittle interior clips, or paint defects disclosed in our pre-service condition report.
- MOTORVA is not liable for paint delamination, clear coat peeling, or lacquer damage resulting from previous low-quality aftermarket resprays, poor bodywork preparation, or pre-existing stone-chip rust creeping under edges.
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services (whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) is limited, at our election, to either: (a) re-supplying the service; or (b) refunding the amount paid for the specific service in dispute.
17. Photography, Video & Workshop Media
You grant MOTORVA the right to capture high-definition photographs and video recordings of your vehicle during the detailing process for quality records, promotional showcases, and educational content.
In accordance with our Privacy Policy, we will anonymize, blur, or crop out license plates and client identifiers prior to public display. If you wish to opt out of photographic showcase, please notify our workshop team upon vehicle drop-off.
18. Intellectual Property Rights
All visual assets, bespoke frame sequences, branding, trademarks, logos, copy, and layout on motorva.com.au are the proprietary intellectual property of NET-ZERO AUSTRALIA PTY LTD or licensed to MOTORVA. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our express prior written authorization.
19. Force Majeure
Neither party will be held responsible for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, extreme weather events, utility outages, flood, fire, labor disputes, pandemic orders, or governmental restrictions.
20. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
In the event of any disagreement or dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through prompt, good-faith dialogue. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and any courts entitled to hear appeals therefrom.
